📝 Internship Overview

The SheTrades Initiative, launched by ITC—a joint agency of the United Nations and the World Trade Organization—aims to empower women entrepreneurs globally by helping them overcome structural barriers to trade. Through strategic partnerships with governments, the private sector, and trade support institutions, SheTrades promotes inclusive policies, equitable procurement practices, and access to global markets.

Interns will work under the direct supervision of SheTrades’ Data and Policy Team to provide support across a wide range of activities, including policy reform research, monitoring and evaluation, training facilitation, event coordination, and digital communications. This role offers a dynamic and collaborative environment where interns can gain valuable professional experience, contribute to real-world gender-focused trade projects, and develop key skills applicable to international development careers.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria at the time of application:

  • Be enrolled in a graduate program (second university degree or higher)

  • Be in the final year of a bachelor’s degree program

  • Have graduated within the past year


Required Skills:

  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in English, with working knowledge of French and Spanish

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with social media tools

  • Analytical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
