SEED Scholarship Overview

The SEED Scholarship is designed to support Nigerian university students by providing financial assistance for one full academic session, enabling them to focus on learning and self-development. In addition to financial support, the scholarship offers a mentorship program where students complete the Academic and Career Development Curriculum (FCMF-ACDC). This curriculum includes nine monthly three-hour mentorship sessions aimed at sustaining excellent academic performance and imparting essential career skills.

3. Federal University, Gusau, Zamfara

4. Usumanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto

8. Zamfara State University

9. Shehu Shagari University of Education, Sokoto

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Must be a full-time 300-level undergraduate student in one of the nine eligible universities.

  2. Must have a minimum CGPA of 4.5 on a 5-point scale (or equivalent).

  3. Must be ready and available to fulfill scholarship requirements and participate in the training curriculum.

 

Application Procedure

  1. Prepare Required Documents: Gather all necessary documents as specified below.

  2. Complete the Online Application: Fill out the online application form available on the FCMF website.

  3. Upload Documents: Ensure all required documents are uploaded correctly.

  4. Submit Application: Review your application for completeness and accuracy before submission.


📂 Documents Required:

  • Student Identity Card: Valid ID from your institution.

  • Evidence of Current Studentship: Such as a biodata form or other official documentation.

  • Reference Letter: From a reputable Islamic organization (institution-based student organizations are not acceptable).

  • Current Result Slip: Showing your CGPA, signed and stamped by the Head of Department (HOD).

  • Personal Statement: A 300-word essay explaining why you should be considered for the scholarship. (Use Century Gothic font, size 12, with 1.5 spacing & Include your full name at the top of the document)


ℹ️ NOTES:

  • The reference letter must be on official letterhead and addressed to The Executive Director, First Class Muslim Foundation, Lagos, Nigeria and should genuinely speak to your character and not be generic.

  • The unethical use of AI tools to generate or significantly adjust personal statements is prohibited. All personal statements will be evaluated for plagiarism or AI derivation, with detection beyond 20% deemed unacceptable.
