📚James Aryam Scholarship Overview
The James Aryam Master's Scholarships are designed to support individuals from conflict-affected regions in East Africa by providing access to quality postgraduate education in Uganda. The program emphasizes fields critical to community development, such as Education, Public Health, and Nutrition. Scholars are expected to apply their acquired knowledge and skills to contribute positively to their home communities upon completion of their studies.

Exemption from tuition fees for the entire duration of the Master's program
Monthly stipend to cover living expenses
Coverage of relocation costs to Uganda
Access to academic and pastoral support throughout the study period
✅ Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
Be a resident of Sudan, South Sudan, or Somaliland, or a Sudanese refugee residing in Uganda
Hold a Bachelor's degree with at least a second-class upper division or equivalent
Demonstrate proficiency in English
Show a commitment to returning to their home country within one month of completing their studies
Exhibit a strong commitment to community development and leadership
📝 Application Procedure
University Applications:
Apply to at least two of the listed Ugandan universities for August 2025 admissions.
Obtain and keep proof of application submissions.
Scholarship Application:
Complete the Windle Trust International scholarship application form available online.
Upload evidence of university application submissions.
Interviews:
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews, which may be conducted in their current country of residence or online.
