🎁 Scholarship Benefits
Living Allowance: AUD $43,500 per year (2025 rate), pro rata, for up to 2 years for Master’s or up to 3.5 years for Doctoral students. This includes limited paid sick, maternity, and parenting leave.
Full Fee Offset: Covers tuition fees for up to 2 years for Master’s or up to 4 years for Doctoral degrees.
Relocation Grant: AUD $2,000 for students moving from other Australian states or territories; AUD $3,000 for students moving from outside Australia.
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC): Single membership for international students requiring a student visa.
✅ Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:
Have applied for and meet the entry requirements for a Master or Doctorate by research degree at the University of Melbourne.
Intend to undertake graduate research in the field of human rights.
Demonstrate a commitment to the peaceful advancement of human rights beyond academic studies, such as through voluntary work or professional experience.
Not have already completed a research qualification at the same or higher level as the course for which the scholarship is sought.
Not have previously received a graduate research scholarship.
Intend to study full-time unless there are compassionate or compelling circumstances that prevent full-time study.
