Are you a young innovator committed to solving environmental challenges in your community and beyond? The applications for beVisioneers: The Mercedes-Benz Fellowship are now open for Cohort 4, launching in May 2026. This is a chance to turn your idea into impact with support in learning, mentorship, resources, and finance. Below is everything you need to know to apply.



🎓 Fellowship Summary

  • Location: Hybrid / Global — online modules, Local Hub gatherings, regional summits.

  • Organiser: The DO School Fellowships (gGmbH), funded by Mercedes-Benz.

  • Program Level: Fellowship (non-degree), designed for youth aged 16–28.

  • Target Group: Young people from eligible countries, committed to tackling environmental challenges. No prior entrepreneurial experience required.

  • Fields of Focus: Environmental sustainability and eco-innovation — themes such as climate, biodiversity, clean energy, water, sustainable agriculture, waste and circular economy.

  • Coverage / Benefits:

    • Innovation training via online modules.

    • Local Hub gatherings and regional summits.

    • 1-on-1 mentoring, peer & expert support, venture coaching.

    • Project scholarships up to €20,000 (after first year).

    • Optional financial support (stipends for living costs, internet, transport, etc.).

  • Duration: 12-month intensive foundational year (≈24 hours/month commitment), followed by long-term community engagement.

  • Application Deadline: 25 January 2026, 23:59 CET.

  • Start Date: May 2026.


🌎 Fellowship Overview

beVisioneers is a global fellowship program launched in 2023 by The DO School Fellowships and funded by Mercedes-Benz. Its mission is to empower young people to design and implement solutions to pressing environmental challenges.

The structure includes:

  • Foundational Year (12 months): Online learning modules, Local Hub meetups, a Regional Summit, coaching, mentoring, and peer support. Fellows commit ≈24 hours per month.

  • Project Scholarship Phase: After year one, fellows can apply for up to €20,000 in project funding.

  • Long-Term Fellowship Community: Continued mentorship, networking, and opportunities beyond the initial year.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

  • Aged 16–28 years at time of applying.

  • Reside (and remain) in one of the listed eligible countries (See here)

  • Strong written and spoken English.

  • Clear interest in solving a concrete environmental challenge.

  • Must not work for Mercedes-Benz or have parents/guardians employed there.



✍🏻 Application Procedure

The application takes about 30–40 minutes and includes three sections:

  1. Written Application:

    • Basic personal & contact details.

    • Description of your environmental challenge/idea.

    • Learning and financial needs.

    • Self-assessment test.

    • Passport or national ID scan.

  2. Video Interview:

    • A 3-minute recorded video about your environmental project idea.

    • Mandatory — applications without video are not considered.

  3. Financial Support Application (Optional):

    • Reference(s): From employed, non-family individuals who can confirm your living situation.

    • Income Declaration: Details of your/your household’s income sources.


ℹ️ Extra Information

  • Submit your complete application (including the video) by 25 January 2026, 23:59 CET.

  • Evaluation will run March–May 2026. Cohort 4 begins in May 2026.

  • The hybrid design ensures global participation without relocation.
