The BCC Full Fees Scholarship aims to support students from underrepresented backgrounds in The Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment at UCL. 📘 Programme Structure

Both the Urban Regeneration MSc and Spatial Planning MSc are RTPI fully-accredited programs. The curriculum includes core compulsory modules, with options such as:

  • Term 1: Choose between BPLN0037 Spatial Planning: Concepts and Context or BPLN0038 Comparative Planning Systems and Cultures

  • Term 2: BPLN0055 Planning Practice (compulsory)

These programs are designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective urban planning and regeneration .

✅ Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  1. Be UK-domiciled with home fee status

  2. Have an offer of admission to the Urban Regeneration MSc or Spatial Planning MSc for full-time study in 2025–26

  3. Not have previously completed a master’s (including integrated master’s degrees) or PhD at UCL or elsewhere

  4. Meet at least one of the following additional criteria:

    • Be in financial need as assessed by UCL

    • Be from a Black, Asian, or Minority Ethnic background

    • Be from a Gypsy, Roma, or Traveller community

    • Have a disability

    • Be a care leaver

    • Have care responsibilities

    • Be the first in their family to attend university at the postgraduate level

📝 Application Procedure

To apply:

  1. Prepare a personal statement of no more than 350 words explaining:

    • Why you believe you should receive the BCC scholarship

    • The impact it would have on your academic and career goals

    • A brief explanation of your financial need

  2. Upload this statement with your application for admission to the program
