🌍 Fellowship Overview
The Chevening Healthcare, Health Policy, and Health Reform Fellowship is designed to empower mid-career professionals from China to conduct impactful research on key health and social policy topics in alignment with the UK government’s Global Health Framework. Fellows spend six months at Oxford as visiting scholars, developing a research paper (up to 10,000 words) addressing pressing health challenges that directly benefit ongoing reforms in China.
During the fellowship, participants gain full access to Oxford’s academic resources, including lectures, seminars, and workshops. They are supported by academic mentors and pastoral care to ensure a productive and enriching experience. ✅ Eligibility Criteria
Must be a Chinese citizen residing in China with an intention to return after the fellowship
Hold a postgraduate degree or equivalent professional experience in health-related fields
Have at least five years of meaningful professional experience, or be a PhD candidate (not enrolled at UK/EU/USA universities)
Must not hold British nationality, unless exempt as per Chevening guidelines
Must not be employees or relatives of UK government or Chevening partner organisations within the last two years
Commitment to abide by the fellowship guidelines and programme expectations
