Applications are now open for the Human Rights Education for Youth (HEY) Course on Intercultural and Interfaith Dialogue organized by PAX, a leading peace organization based in the Netherlands. This transformative learning experience brings together youth from diverse backgrounds to engage in meaningful dialogue, explore human rights principles, and foster mutual respect across cultures and faiths.

📘 Programme Overview

The HEY course focuses on empowering youth leaders with the knowledge, skills, and tools to promote human rights and facilitate intercultural and interfaith dialogue in their communities. It is organized by the Human Security and Rights of People Team at PAX in collaboration with regional partners.


🧩 Structure and Curriculum:

  • Pre-course phase (online): Introductory webinars and community building

  • Main course (6–13 October 2025): In-person sessions in the Netherlands

    • Human rights education modules

    • Tools and practices in intercultural and interfaith dialogue

    • Storytelling and lived experiences

    • Case studies and thematic workshops

    • Group project development

  • Post-course phase: Alumni networking and implementation of local follow-up initiatives

✅ Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be aged between 18 and 30

  • Be active in their communities or in youth-led initiatives

  • Possess a good command of English (working language of the course)

  • Be available for the entire duration of the course (6–13 October 2025)

  • Be committed to implementing a follow-up activity in their community

📝 Application Procedure

To apply, candidates must complete the following steps:

  1. Complete the online application form 

  2. Prepare and upload the required documents:

    • Motivation letter (max 500 words)

    • Updated CV

    • Reference letter (optional but recommended)

    • Any supporting documents on past community work (photos, reports, etc.)

  3. Submit the application no later than 7 July 2025.

Shortlisted candidates may be contacted for a brief online interview in August 2025.

  • Follow-up grants or mentorship may be available for selected local initiatives after the course.
