Scholarship Overview

The Jiangxi Provincial Government Scholarship aims to attract outstanding students from around the world to study in Jiangxi Province, contributing to the province’s educational development and cultural exchange.

The Scholarship is available for overseas candidates or current foreign students pursuing doctorate, master, bachelor degree, or general scholar (for a duration of six months or more) programs.


Scholarship Categories and Coverage

The scholarship is awarded for a duration of one academic year and is available in categories:

• Category A: For excellent foreign students pursuing doctorate or master degree programs in higher education institutions of Jiangxi Province, the scholarship amount is RMB 25,000/year.

• Category B: For excellent foreign students pursuing bachelor degree programs, the scholarship amount is RMB 20,000/year.

• Category C: For excellent foreign General Scholars in higher education institutions of Jiangxi Province, the scholarship amount is RMB 6,000/year.


Eligibility criteria

1). Academic Requirements

Applicants should have a strong academic background, typically with a minimum GPA requirement.

2). Language Proficiency

Proficiency in Chinese or English language is often required, depending on the language of instruction at the chosen institution.

3). Age Restrictions: There may be age limitations for applicants depending on study levels, typically ranging from 18 to 35 years old

4). Duration: Applicants for short-term or exchange program must study more than 6 months.


Applications Procedure and Documents

  1. Application Form: Completed APPLICATION FORM ( with a handwritten signature and study plan.

  2. Highest Diploma: Notarized photocopy of the highest diploma. If currently enrolled, applicants should provide a certificate of study from their university.

  3. Academic Transcripts: Official academic performance transcripts.

  4. Passport Photocopy: A clear photocopy of the applicant’s passport.

  5. Language Proficiency Certificate: Photocopy of HSK Certificate or other Chinese language test results.

  6. Health Examination: Photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form.

  7. Study Plan: A study plan in Chinese or English (not less than 500 words
