📝 Programme Overview
The Parliamentary Research Programme is designed to provide participants with hands-on experience in the legislative process. Interns will be embedded within the research and communications teams of political parties in Parliament, contributing to policy analysis, legislative research, and communication strategies. This immersive experience aims to enhance understanding of parliamentary structures, improve research and writing skills, and deepen knowledge of the political sector.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
Hold a tertiary qualification (minimum of a 3-year degree) in economics, law, politics, media, communications, journalism, or related fields
Demonstrate outstanding academic performance
Exhibit personal suitability, political and social commitment
Possess a broad general education and a strong interest in political issues
Have a positive attitude towards democracy and human rights
Exercise tolerance towards differing viewpoints
Show strong writing skills and the ability to work under pressure
Be able to work effectively in a team within a fast-paced environment
Have the right to work in South Africa
Be available full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the programme
