📝 Programme Overview

The Parliamentary Research Programme is designed to provide participants with hands-on experience in the legislative process. This immersive experience aims to enhance understanding of parliamentary structures, improve research and writing skills, and deepen knowledge of the political sector.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Hold a tertiary qualification (minimum of a 3-year degree) in economics, law, politics, media, communications, journalism, or related fields

  • Demonstrate outstanding academic performance

  • Exhibit personal suitability, political and social commitment

  • Possess a broad general education and a strong interest in political issues

  • Have a positive attitude towards democracy and human rights

  • Exercise tolerance towards differing viewpoints

  • Show strong writing skills and the ability to work under pressure

  • Be able to work effectively in a team within a fast-paced environment

  • Have the right to work in South Africa

  • Be available full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the programme
