If you're an ambitious African woman with dreams of pursuing postgraduate studies, the Learn Africa Scholarship Programme 2025–2026 is now open for applications!
With a legacy of empowering over 400 African women across 36 countries, the Learn Africa initiative—powered by the Women for Africa Foundation—is once again offering fully-funded and partially-funded opportunities for Master's and PhD studies. Whether your interest lies in cutting-edge disciplines like Computational Intelligence or global health challenges like Neglected Tropical Diseases, this scholarship offers a chance to study both online and in-person at top Spanish institutions.

Location: Spain or online (depending on scholarship type)
Host Institutions: Multiple Spanish universities and research institutions

Programme Overview
The Learn Africa Scholarships are designed to empower African women academically and professionally. This edition offers:
68 new scholarships and 25 renewals
A record 5 PhD positions, including 2 funded by Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio
Over 36% of courses delivered in English or bilingual formats
Study modalities: in-person, online, and blended
New disciplines addressing global development issues
Scholarships supported by more than 60 partners including Universidad de La Laguna, GMV Innovating Solutions, and Anesvad Foundation

✅ General Requirements
Be a woman of African nationality and resident in an African country
Hold or be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in an African university
Apply to only one scholarship
Meet specific academic and technical requirements of the chosen program
Possess language proficiency in the medium of instruction (typically B2 or C1 level)

Final selection is coordinated with host institutions. Only selected applicants will be contacted (by email or phone) and results published in June 2025.

Failure to accept will result in reallocation of the scholarship
Withdrawal without valid reasons may result in a 2-year ban from future applications
