Fellowship Overview
The MMA Research Fellowship Program is designed to address the challenges faced by young children (aged 0-8) and their caregivers during climate-related emergencies. With over 43 million children displaced due to weather-related disasters in recent years, this fellowship aims to fill critical research gaps in areas such as mental health, policy, programmatic interventions, and post-disaster reconstruction for young children and communities.
Fellows will produce original research over 12 months, aligned with the "Early Childhood Development in Climate Emergencies" research theme. They will have the chance to collaborate with global researchers and mentors, gaining recognition and practical impact for their work.

MMA Fellowship Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be from or have experience in countries impacted by climate crises, especially in the Global South.
Research experience is required; however, early-career researchers and those with experience through community or grassroots initiatives are encouraged to apply.
Strong connections to local communities and organizations working with young children.
Willingness to engage with mentors and actively participate in the fellowship’s learning events.
Research must focus on young children and caregivers in climate emergencies, addressing knowledge gaps or thematic priorities outlined by MMA.
Application Procedure
1. Prepare Application Documents:
Research plan including topic, location, target population, methodology, and key questions.
A brief CV (no more than two pages).
2. Submit Application:
