Scholarship Overview

ScottishPower is committed to nurturing the next generation of energy industry leaders. The Master's Scholarships are designed for enthusiastic individuals eager to contribute to the sector's transformation. Scholars will receive comprehensive support, including financial assistance and mentorship, to excel in their chosen fields.

The scholarship will support students pursuing education in one of the following priority fields:

  • Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Electronic Engineering

  • Environmental Sciences, Climate Change, Sustainability

  • Offshore, Geosciences, Oceanography, Meteorology

  • Wind Power Engineering, Physics, Fluid Mechanics

  • Data, Cyber Security, Telecoms, Business Analytics, Cloud Computing

While applications are accepted from any UK university offering relevant courses, ScottishPower has established links with the following institutions:

  • University of Edinburgh

  • Heriot-Watt University

  • University of Strathclyde

  • University of Glasgow

  • Glasgow Caledonian University

  • University of Liverpool

  • Liverpool John Moores University

  • Bangor University

  • Imperial College London

  • University of Cambridge

  • University of East Anglia

  • Wrexham Glyndwr University

 

Benefits

  • Financial Support: Covers full tuition fees and provides a monthly stipend of £1,200.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Possess or expect to receive a Bachelor's with Honours (minimum 2:1) or a Master's degree from a recognized university.

  2. Final-year students must secure their degree by June/July 2025.

  3. Must have applied to a UK university for a Master's program in the specified fields.

  4. Not receiving any other scholarships or financial aid during the scholarship period.

 

Application Procedure

  1. Complete the electronic application form available on the ScottishPower website.

  2. Submit the application before 2 pm (UK time) on 4th April 2025.

  3. Ensure all required documentation is provided as per the application guidelines.


Selection Process

  • April 2025: Online Assessment (Video Interview & Games-Based Assessment)

  • May 2025: Assessment Centre (Interview & Assessment Exercise)

  • June 2025: Outcome Notification


ℹ️ Assessment Centres will be held in person at ScottishPower offices in Glasgow, Scotland, or Hoylake, England, in May 2025.
