If you're a Black student or early-career professional aspiring to pursue a Master's or Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and seeking structured guidance, mentorship, and community support, the Black in AI Emerging Leaders in AI: Ph.D. Prep Program 2025–2026 is now accepting applications. This initiative is designed to support individuals from underrepresented communities, particularly those of African descent, in navigating the graduate application process for AI-related programs.
🎓 Program Summary
Location: Global (program conducted online)

Study Level: Master’s and Ph.D.

Fields of Focus: Artificial Intelligence and related disciplines
Coverage: Comprehensive application support (note: does not cover GRE, TOEFL, or university application fees)

Eligibility: Final-year undergraduates, recent graduates, or early-career professionals planning to apply for AI-related graduate programs between October 2025 and March 2026
🧾 Program Overview
Established in 2018, the Black in AI Emerging Leaders in AI Program aims to increase the representation of Black individuals in AI research and academia. The program offers a structured approach to preparing for graduate school applications, including:
Mentorship: Guidance from experienced AI researchers and professionals.
Workshops: Sessions on statement writing, program selection, and interview preparation.
Application Support: Resources and strategies for navigating the application process.
Community Engagement: Opportunities to connect with peers and build a supportive network.
Mock Interviews: Practice sessions to build confidence for admissions interviews.
Alumni of the program have successfully gained admission to prestigious institutions such as Carnegie Mellon University, Georgia Tech, Harvard University, UC Berkeley, and Cornell University.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should:
Identify as Black or be part of the African diaspora.
Be final-year undergraduate students, recent graduates, or early-career professionals.
Plan to apply for AI-related Master's or Ph.D. programs between October 2025 and March 2026.
Demonstrate a strong academic record and commitment to advancing diversity in AI.
Be able to cover standardized test and university application fees (GRE/TOEFL not funded).
